The rechargeable battery really pushes this portable speaker over the top. It can be easily taken anywhere such as a the backyard. The mono in and i pod dock also are some added bonuses. The remote controller is easy to use and helpful

The sound is absolutely ok, however, audiophiles beware. The bass is muddy and the highs are unclear. It sounds almost like a $30-50 computer speaker. It is expensive for the quality you get and you should go consider other cheaper alternatives
